Due to the small number of entries in the 220 Section, the 220 and 320 Sections were merged, bringing the total number of teams up to 10.
The tournament was won with a round to spare by Steve Emmerton and Petru Floresc of Fenton, who went on to finish on 8/10, 2 points clear of their nearest rivals. Please click here to view the final standings.
Many thanks to Alberto Gissi for his wonderful organisation of the event, to George Scattergood and Holmes Chapel Chess Club for providing the venue and all of the equipment and, finally, to Jon and Sandra Blackburn for once again providing all of the refreshments, which I know is much appreciated by everybody.
