3rd placed Cheddleton's Division 3 title hopes took a knock last night when they were beaten by Newcastle 'D'. However, they still have 2 matches in hand of the teams above them and are only 3 points behind.

Stafford claimed the remaining place in this season's Cup Finals with a comprehensive win against Cheddleton. They will now meet Meir in the Final.

Crewe's recent good run continued as they held title challenging Fenton to a draw last night. Fenton have now pulled level with Meir at the top of the table but Cheddleton 'F' are looking ominous with 3 matches in hand and only 3 points behind.

Last season's Division 5 Champions, Meir 'D', moved into joint top spot with Cheddleton 'K' following their win against Fenton 'D', who are now guaranteed to be this season's wooden spoonists.

Cheddleton 'H' have moved up to joint 2nd in Division 4 after beating bottom of the table Newcastle 'E' earlier this evening.

Meir 'A' got their Division 3 title challenge back on track last night, following a couple of disappointing results, with a win at Alsager 'B'. This result has surely ended any title hope that Alsager might still have been harbouring.

League Executive Committee

The League Executive Committee have just completed a full review of the NSDCA Constitution and Playing Rules. The proposed revisions will be put to the AGM in July as a proposal from the Committee. Robert Milner will distribute a copy of the proposal in due course, giving you adequate time to consider your responses.

Cheddleton now have a brand new website and I have to say that it looks fantastic. Congratulations to their new webmaster on the amount of work that has obviously gone into it. The web address is the same as the old site but you may need to clear down your browser cache or you may still see the old site.
