A draw for Alex Richardson in the Championship today sent his score to 3/10, while another win for Malcolm Armstrong gives him a very creditable 4.5/10.
A second successive defeat for Colin Davison in the Senior Championship sent him down to joint 12th position.
A win for Bill Armstrong in the Major Open moved him up to 4/9.
Carl Gartside scored his 3rd successive draw in the U160 Championship to go onto 1.5/4. However, another loss in the 5 Day Open leaves him on 1/4 in that competition.
A draw for myself in the U130 Senior Championship leaves me in joint 2nd place on 3/4 and needing a win tomorrow to take a share of the title. A win for Peter Windows took him onto 1.5/4. However it could have been so much better. Apparently his loss yesterday was because his phone rang while he was in a won position and with his opponent only having 2 minutes left on the clock !!
A defeat for Jacob Boswell in the Under 12 Championship sent him down to joint 9th position with 3.5/6.
Thivyaa Rahulin is doing exceptionally well in the Under 10 Championship. A 3rd successive win today puts her in joint 11th place with 4/6 - only a point behind the leader.
