The AGM of the North Staffordshire & District Chess Association will be held at Meir Chess Club on Monday 20th September. The most important issue to be discussed is the Committee's proposals for re-starting OTB chess. For the 2021/2022 season only it was proposed that all Clubs will be entered into a 6 round Swiss competition, to be played over 4 boards, to run fortnightly from October to December.
The competition will then be split into two Divisions, with matches to be played from January until May. The teams in the top half of the Swiss competition will play in an all-play-all Division 1, with the teams in the bottom half playing in an all-play-all Division 2.
