Many congratulations to Les Hall, Neville Layhe, Matthew Carr, and their band of willing helpers, for organising such a brilliant congress. There were close on 100 entrants and, as far as I could tell, the whole event ran with barely a hitch so very well done to all concerned. Next year's event has been scheduled for the weekend of 13th/15th October 2017
NSDCA successes were Martyn Harris (Newcastle), who won the Major with a score of 4.5/5, David Price (Crewe), who was joint 3rd in the Intermediate with a score of 3.5/5 and James Marshall (Crewe), Simon Layhe (Crewe) and Richard Martin (Alsager), who finished joint 2nd in the Minor with a score of 3.5/5.
I had intended to publish a photo of Martyn but he thought it might be more likely to drive people away from the website so I relented !!
