Newcastle 'B' moved into pole position for the runners-up spot in Division 2 with a comprehensive 4.5 - 0.5 win at the Rooks last night. Only a draw for Dave Price on board 3 for the Rooks prevented the whitewash. Newcastle are now a point clear of the 3rd and 4th placed teams but with a match in hand.
