We are in the process of developing a mobile app for the NSDCA that will run on Android smartphones and tablets. This will be a free app and will be available from the Google PlayStore. I'm hopeful that it will be available to download by the end of February.
I can't be absolutely sure but I imagine that we will be one of the first, if not the first, local chess organisation or club to have our own mobile app.
We are also be looking into the possibility of having an i/OS version on the iTunes Store for Apple iPhones/iPads/iPods. However, although the app would be free we would still have to pay Apple for the privilege of having it on the iTunes Store and the cost may be prohibitive. More news on both the Android and i/OS apps as soon as it becomes available.
