'This weekend the juniors of the club achieved great results in the Staffordshire Junior Chess Championships with wins in the Under 8,9,and 10s (Thivyaa Rahulan and Kane Jackson), Under 11s (Chad Jackson),Under 12s (Jacob Boswell), Under 13s (Jacob Smith), Under 16s (Jack Healings) and Under 18s (Laura Smith). Girl champions included Sian Jones, Libby Sherratt, Thivyaa Rahulan, Louisa Swarbrook and Laura Smith. The Under 12s was a very strong category and medals were won by Will Sanzeri, Joe Alcock, Alice Abell, Emma Scotchford and Eleanor Poole. Andrei Mihai and Robbie Jackson won medals in the Under 14s and Sam Beardmore came joint second in the under 16s.'
