MCCU Championship
The 2013/2014 County fixtures have now been published and added to the NSDCA Calendar. There are 4 matches in October featuring the Minor Counties team, the newly formed U100 team and the U140 team.

2013/2014 Season Kicks Off This Week
It doesn't seem like five minutes since the end of last season but the new season starts this week, with all the matches involving Newcastle. Newcastle 'E' are at home to Newcastle 'D' in Division 4 on Wednesday while Newcastle 'A' travel to Holmes Chapel Kings in Division 1 on Thursday.

Alex Richardson Wins Leek Congress
Congratulations to Alex Richardson on winning this weekend's Leek Congress with a score of 4/5, and with it the title of NSDCA Individual Champion, just ahead of Robert Shaw on 3.5/5. Tony Soames and John-Paul Taylor were joint 6th on 3/5.
In the 'B' Section, Bill Armstrong finished joint 2nd with 4/5, just half a point behind the winner. Jon Blackburn was only another half point back in joint 4th place on 3.5/5.
In the 'C' Section, Sam Beardmore was joint 2nd with 4/5, just half a point behind the winner.
