Tough Start For Alex Richardson At Torquay
Alex could hardly have been given a tougher start at Torquay than the one he has been landed with !! He has been drawn to play as White against Grandmaster David Howell, a player who outgrades him by 490 points in the FIDE rankings and is also the 2nd highest graded player in the tournament. Malcolm Armstrong also has a difficult match, being drawn to play as White against Donald Mason, an opponent graded 190 points higher than him.
