Cheddleton 'C' played 4-man Holmes Chapel Knights for the 2nd time in 3 days, reversing the defeat of a couple of nights ago, to finish their fixtures and go top of Division 2 by a point from Cheddleton 'B' and Newcastle 'C'. A draw for David Price on Board 5 prevented a whitewash.
Monsieur de Fault, who has been a regular for Alsager this season, made a rare appearance on Board 1 for the Knights.
The Championship now all hinges on the final match of the season between Cheddleton 'B' and Newcastle 'C'.
