The run in for the Division 2 title is getting ever closer. 3rd placed Newcastle 'C' moved up to joint top with Cheddleton 'B' after beating 2nd placed Cheddleton 'C' by 3 1/2 - 1 1/2 last night. Cheddleton 'C' now drop to 3rd place, a point behind but with a game in hand so still have every opportunity to snatch it. The final match of the season between Newcastle 'C' and Cheddleton 'B' could prove to be crucial.
