Newcastle Mini Congress 2018

This year's Newcastle Mini Congress will be held at Newcastle Bridge Club over the weekend of 14th/15th April.

There will be 3 Sections - U160/U130/U100. If anybody is interested in an Open Section then please let Alberto Gissi know as soon as possible so that he can inform you, in advance, if there are enough players.

January 2018 grades will apply.
Format will be 5 Round Swiss and all games will be graded.
Digital clocks will be used in all games.
Rate of play will all moves in 95 minutes, plus 10 seconds per move.
Half point byes available in all Rounds except the last.
Rounds will start as follows :
Sat 14th Round 1 09:30, Round 2 14:00, Round 3 18:30
Sunday 15th Round 4 10:00, Round 5 14:30.
Access to the premises will be from 09:00 on the Saturday and 09:30 on the Sunday.
Entry fees as follows :
ECF Silver Members and above £15 adults and £13 juniors (U18 on 1st Sept 2017)
ECF Bronze and non-members add £7 adults and £5 juniors (or upgrade your ECF Membership yourself.
2 prizes per Section of a 'to be announced' amount.
The Controllers decision in all matters is final.

Payment by cash, or by cheque payable to Newcastle Chess Club.
Players will be automatically entered into the lowest Section for which they are eligible, unless requested otherwise.
