There were three matches in Division 3 last night and, with Newcastle 'C' losing to Alsager 'B' and Crewe Bishops going down against bottom of the table Cheddleton 'G', it looks like two of the teams who had a mathematical chance of catching the leaders are now out of the hunt.

A surprise win for Division 5 Wooden Spoonists, Fenton 'D', threw a spanner in the works in the title race. This was Cheddleton's game in hand of the leaders, Meir 'D', and they failed to capitalise on it. They remain a point behind Meir with both teams having one match left to play.
